Quick post to let you all know that the carp on the res have certainly woken up this week and are feeding very well which is a good sign for the year! Hopefully they wont start spawning just yet and the first few weeks will be extremely good.
There has also been literally hundreds of smaller fish moving around later in the evenings so for all you non carpers (are there any???) you should be able to fill yer boots if you fish in the evenings. Smaller hooks and lighter lines fished anywhere from 6 - 10 meters should produce the usual suicidal perch, roach with a good chance of tench and crucians.
Get your permits ASAP!
